Unlocking Your Device

Typically, you can unlock your recovered device using your PIN. If your PIN fails to unlock the device, you can use a Server Recovery Token.

To unlock your device:

Step In Your Customer Center Account On Your Locked Computer
1. On the Lock page, click Yes.

  1. Turn on the device.
  2. When the unlock screen appears, press 1.
  3. Type your PIN.
  4. Press Enter.

If your device unlocks, click

OR

If your device does not unlock, click No, and then complete steps 4 to 7.
 
4.   Turn off the device, and then turn on the device again.

  1. In the Platform Recovery ID field, type the Platform Recovery ID displayed on the unlock screen of your locked device.
  2. In the Enter PIN field, enter your PIN.
  3. Click the Generate Server Recovery Token button.

  1. On the unlock screen, press 2.
  2. Type the Server Recovery Token that Customer Center displays.
  3. Press Enter.

If your device unlocks, click Yes.

If your device does not unlock, click No, and then contact Global Support.
