Deleting Files on Your Device
What is Data Delete?
You may have very private and sensitive data on your device that is more important to you than the device. In case of theft or loss, you can remotely delete some or all files on your device using our Absolute Data Delete technology.
When you delete a file, your device does not actually remove the contents of the file. Instead, the device simply unlinks the file from the file directory system, leaving the contents of the file in the disk sectors. Data from the file remains until the operating system re-uses the same sectors when writing new data. Until the old data is overwritten (which may take months or even longer), data can be recovered by programs that read disk sectors directly.
Using our advanced technology, you can eliminate all data associated with a file you want to delete.
