Absolute was founded in 1993 on the idea that individuals and businesses should be able to track, manage, and secure their mobile computers regardless of the physical location of the device. 

In March 2009, Absolute achieved certification to ISO/IEC 27001 Information security management for its production of IT operations for customers.  The standard covers 10 detailed control categories including: information security policy, security organization, asset classification controls, personnel security, physical security, communication management, access controls, system deployment, continuity planning and compliance.

Absolute Software's certification to ISO/IEC 27001 followed audits conducted by BSI Group and recognizes the company's implementation of an effective ISMS that complies with one of the most stringent international standards.

Today, our security-as-a-service solutions protect millions of computers worldwide with subscribers who range from individuals to the largest public and private sector organizations.
